We're a software and web development company with twelve years of experience in online communication and interface design, and our specialty is creating database driven websites that are easy to use and easy to maintain. Should You Hire Us?

Well, yes and no. If your primary goal is a fancy "billboard on the information highway" then we're probably not your best choice. We tend to be a bit contrarian about web design, and feel that lengthy Flash sequences and pages bursting with graphics are counterproductive. The real value of the web to a business is in providing services to your customers while lowering your cost of doing business.

Our specialty is creating sites that are tightly integrated with your company's business. We analyze what you do and how you do it, and we look for ways that we can use the internet to streamline the process. The we design a site for you to achieve those goals.

As the company name might suggest, we are specialists in human interface design. This is the science of making a complex system with large amounts of data usable for a normal human being. It combines programming, graphic arts, and psychology with the business analysis we perform. The result is a web site where the correct information is intuitively available to your user at exactly the point where they need it.

What Tools Do You Use?

We still hand code our pages, since the popular web authoring environments still turn out fairly bloated HTML code. This translates into longer load times for people on dialup connections, and we feel that there are still enough of these people to justify the extra effort of hand coding pages.

For database work, we use Fourth Dimension, from 4D Inc. (http://www.4d.com/). Fourth Dimension is an excellent tool for interactive websites and alllows near unlimited flexibility

Is This Site A Good Example Of Our Work?

Well, actually, no! This site is like the cobbler's children - we've been too busy working to put shoes on our own kin. The information on the site had become outdated and we opted for a simple presentation here for the moment so that we could get back to work.
